Who you are dealing with

Leah-Marie Bakes is a home bakery run by Leah from 67 High Street, Laleston, Bridgend, CF32 0HL. You can reach me at hello@leahmariebakes.co.uk.

Ordering

Orders start as an enquiry through one of the forms on this site, or by message. An enquiry is not a booking. Your order is confirmed only once I have replied to agree the details, quoted you a price, and received your deposit.

Please give me as much notice as you can. Cakes are usually booked several weeks ahead and busy dates go early, so I cannot promise availability until your date is confirmed.

Prices quoted for bespoke work are based on the design, size and flavours we agree. If you change the design after booking, the price may change, and I will tell you before doing the work.

Payment

A non-refundable deposit secures your date and comes off the final total. The balance is due before you collect or receive your order. I will tell you at the time which payment methods I can take.

This site does not take payment. Nothing you submit through the forms here is a payment, and I will never ask you for card details by email or message.

Collection

Most orders are collected from Laleston at a time we agree. Please wait for my confirmation that your order is ready before setting off, since I bake as close to collection time as I can.

Once an order has left my hands it is your responsibility. There is guidance on transporting a cake safely on the FAQs page, and I cannot be held responsible for damage that happens after collection.

Delivery

Local delivery and wedding cake setup are available around Bridgend and Cardiff for an additional charge, agreed with you in advance. Treat boxes can be sent by post within the UK. Postal orders are packed to travel, but I cannot control how a courier handles a parcel or guarantee a delivery date.

Allergens

Everything is baked in a home kitchen that handles gluten, dairy, eggs and nuts. Please read the allergens page and tell me about any allergy or dietary requirement before you order.

Cancellations and refunds

Cancellations, changes and refunds are covered on the cancellations and refunds page.

Liability

If I get something wrong, I will put it right, by remaking your order or refunding you. My liability is limited to the price you paid for the order.

Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited by law. Your statutory rights as a consumer are not affected.

Photographs

I sometimes photograph finished orders for my website and social media. If you would rather I did not share pictures of your cake, just say and I will not.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
